01 February 2020, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germersheim: A bus with people evacuated because of the coronavirus arrives in a convoy at the barracks S'dpfalz of the Bundeswehr during the night. The German Armed Forces have recalled 100 Germans and their families from the city of Wuhan in China, which was heavily affected by the corona virus. The Bundeswehr aircraft with returnees from China on board arrived in Frankfurt on Saturday, February 1, 2020. At Frankfurt Airport, medical personnel wearing protective masks and clothing first boarded the aircraft to examine and interview the passengers. A closer examination should take place in the so-called Medical Assessment Center - a rededicated sports hall. After that, the Frankfurt health authorities said that a decision should be made as to whether some passengers should be taken to an isolation ward in the Frankfurt university clinic.
