Presidenti i Bjellorusisë, Aleksandër Lukashenko deklaroi se nuk e priste pjesëmarrjen e Gjermanisë në sanksionet që BE i vendosi Bjellorusisë.
Duke folur në një ngjarje përkujtimore të Luftës së Dytë Botërore, presidenti 66-vjeçar tha se sanksionet ishin pjesë e një “lufte hibride” perëndimore në vazhdim kundër Bjellorusisë.

“Ne nuk e prisnim pjesëmarrjen e Gjermanisë në këtë komplot kolektiv”, tha ai.
Duke iu drejtuar ministrit të Jashtëm gjerman, Heiko Maas, i cili bëri thirrje për sanksione të gjera ekonomike kundër Bjellorusisë të hënën, Lukashenko tha: “Kush jeni ju? Një gjerman i penduar… apo trashëgimtar i nazistëve?”
