Congress of the Democratic Party will not take place on 12 December but has been delayed to be held on 14 December. This delay is due to the agenda that the prime minister, who at 12 will depart date to Italy, where it is called in audience by Pope John Paul III. Congress will elect the party leaders and secretariat. Also, changes will be made to the party statute, which would fit with the current electoral system.
