4 months before the parliamentary elections, Albanian Ministry of Internal Affairs declares that voters' lists are correct. Minister Bujar Nishani explains that the main civil registry has been cleared of all duplications and the new electronic database makes it impossible for manipulations. The main civil registry had some 50.000 duplications, all removed. Now local civil registry offices will have to remove the overlapping names from their registers. The model for the main civil registry is based on the one used by Austrian authorities.
