Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Scharcenberger stressed one more time that this isn't the right moment for Albania to apply for the status of European Union candidate country. According to Scharcenberger the ongoing economical depression is one more reason for the union to be skeptical toward Albania and other aspiring countries of this region. Speaking on this matter Albanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Basha didn't get a set deadline for the application, but chose to comment Monday's statement of European Commission to his liking. After Troika's meeting with the Albanian delegation in Brussels, Czech presidency repeated that they are paying special attention to June 28th elections and the pre-election process.
