Another international organization slams government's decision to evict Tema newspaper from its premises. International Press Institute, in a statement published in it official website, raises it concers regarding the arbitrary actions of Minsitry of Finance and urges albanian Prime Minister Berisha to enforce the verdict issued by Tirana's lower court, which sided with Tema. Via its secretary for Balkan, IPI condems government's actions, calls for an investigation of this case and expresses its commitment for protecting press' liberites in Albania. According to IPI due to the excessive pressure applied by albanian authorities, the phenomenon of autocensuring has become common among print and electronic media. In a democratic society media is one of the main pillars that supports this society, and journalists should feel free to exppress, without any intervention from the state, stressed IPI in its statement.
