Chairman of Socialist party Edi Rama asked from Prime Minister Berisha that the new ID cards be a voting requirement only for those that don't have a passport, because it will be impossible for all voters to have ID cards on their hands by June 28th, when elections are taking place. For the administration of this process, SP chairman suggested the establishment of an ad hoc parliamentary commission. Rama also voiced his concerns regarding civil registry's national registers, which according to Rama still contains 100.000 duplications, which cast a doubt on a correct voters' list. Rama added that Socialist Party is willing to do its part, so that these elections are according to standards.
